Education:

Prof. S. H. Anastasiadis received his Diploma (1983) in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece and a Ph.D. (1988) in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA.

Career:

He has been a Visiting Scientist at IBM Almaden Research Center. He has been awarded the John H. Dillon Medal of the American Physical Society in 1998, the Graduate Student Award of the Materials Research Society in 1987, and the Best Paper Award of the Society of Plastics Engineers - Plastics Analysis Division in 1985. He was elected Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2000. Currently he is also an Affiliated Researcher at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas.

Interests:

His main interests are in the areas of polymer surfaces/interfaces and thin films, of the structure and dynamics of polymer blends, copolymers, and anchored chains.
