Goal of the courseThe goal of this course is the presentation of realistic applications of electromagnetic theory. In particular, we will dwell into various topics related to electromagnetic radiation and we will develop the physical concepts and mathematical tools necessary to understand wave propagation phenomena in the systems under study.
SyllabusAntenna theory, Propagation of Electromagnetic Waves, Radio-Communications, Radar Systems, Electromagnetic Cavities and Waveguides, Interaction of Electromagnetic Radiation with Charged Particle Beams, Accelerating Cavities, Synchrotron Radiation and Applications.
