Anonymous FTP Server

Department of Physics is maintaining an Anonymous FTP Service since 1995 under URL ftp://ftp.physics.uoc.gr

Since 28/11/2017 access is allowed from University of Crete, FORTH and HMU networks only.

Access from other networks is allowed only for downloding by using the ftp://ftp-down.physics.uoc.gr URL

You can connect with any ftp client such as ftp, ncftp, wget, fileZilla etc.

Usage Policy

  • All files are deleted automatically after 6 months of creation date
  • Uploading copyrighted material of any kind is prohibited
  • No backup is performed on the ftp service
  • Data may be deleted without notice

In advance, Department of Physics offers official mirror services for a large number of open source software, under URL http://ftp.cc.uoc.gr/mirrors
