Superconductivity has been demonstrated in La3Ni2O7, and now the structure of the superconducting gap is observed. The Fermi surface is shown to derive mainly from the $${d}_{{x}^{2}-{y}^{2}}$$ d x 2 − y 2 bands, with minimal involvement from the $${d}_{{z}^{2}}$$ d z 2 band.
